Walk, enjoy the countryside and help our community garden grow.
We’re delighted that you’re joining us for the Poppy Community Garden Sponsored Walk on Saturday 17 October 2026. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful countryside around Andover while raising much-needed funds for our community garden.
The money raised from the walk will help us work with Southern Water to install a water main in the garden. This will give us the water supply we need to develop and maintain this wonderful community space for everyone to enjoy.
The Walk
The route takes you through the beautiful countryside close to the community garden and is 5 miles in total.
Along the way, we’ll pass The Oak Pub in Smannell, so there’s the option to stop for some well-earned refreshment if you want to!
Start Times
To keep the walk comfortable and enjoyable for everyone, we have space for a maximum of 30 walkers, with groups of 10 setting off at:

Refreshments at the Finish
Once you’ve completed the walk, you’ll be able to enjoy some refreshments at the finish line.
Every step you take and every pound you raise will help make a difference to the Poppy Community Garden.
